The short term courses provided by BAFA are aimed at developing the individual skill set of particular Art Forms with a futuristic approach in mind. The Carefully designed Modules ranging from 2 - 8 Hourly Workshop sessions blends in pace and skill set required for participants to grasp and yield the Art form depending on the level of Course undertaken.
RAPID SKETCHING
The inspiration for art can strike you anywhere. The concept of Rapid Sketching can help you quickly sketch the scene that you see with a few transitions and shapes that are carefully created by using lines creatively.
Rapid sketching concentrates on creating sketches framed out of use of rapid strokes of lines rather than the proportion and the posture of it.
The form allows you to sketch multiple faces. You can simply just hover over the next face that would like to sketch on and then carry on sketching on a different face.
NEWSPAPER PORTRAITS
We all know newspapers are one of the oldest means of communicating news to the world. Be it in terms of normal news or entertainment news, newspapers were once everything we needed every morning. As digital media came into play, newspapers started getting creative in terms of their content as well as advertising through the use of art. In this course, we, at BAFA, provide students with lessons on how to use newspapers’ aesthetic backgrounds and mix it with colors to create incredible art forms that dissolve in paper to look nothing less than a modern art masterpiece.
PEN DRAWING
‘Pen and Ink' denotes a drawing technique involving the use of black and other colored inks which are applied to a support (generally paper) with either a dip pen or a reservoir pen. Ink may be applied with a pen or a brush to achieve either linear or tonal effects. Inks may be diluted to produce lighter washes. Brighter areas and highlights may also be achieved by scraping ink from the paper. On paper, fundamentally a linear method of making images with a series of strokes forming areas of hatching or cross-hatching. It is quite cost-effective, convenient, and a portable method of drawing. Every pen gives different results. Depending on what kind of lines you want to achieve, you will have to choose an adequate pen. Control, fluidity, thinning, and thickness of the line are all determined by the pen you’re using. INK PAINTING
Ink wash painting is a type of East Asian brush painting that uses the same black ink used in East Asian calligraphy in different concentrations. It is typically monochrome, using only shades of black, with a great emphasis on virtuoso brushwork and conveying the perceived "spirit" or "essence" of a subject over the direct imitation. In landscape painting the scenes depicted are typically imaginary, or very loose adaptations of actual views. Depending on what kind of form you want to achieve, you will have to choose an adequate pen as the tool. Control, fluidity, thinning, and thickness of the line are all determined by the pen you’re using

FACIAL EXPRESSIONS
Faces are one of the earliest recognizable symbols to draw and design. The facial expressions visually communicate and the simplest absorbent form of expressions.
The facial muscles can produce an almost infinite number of expressions as they contract or relax. Some expressions are emphatic, others subtle. True expressions are involuntary and convey the emotions a person is feeling. False expressions do not; they can be used as a mask or cover.
From simplest of Core expressions of Joy, Anger, Sadness to complex expressions that vary over levels, we at BAFA have designed modules to familiarize and foster the step process of this is exquisite and core form of expressive art.
CARTOONS DRAWING
Cartooning is the most basic form of two-dimensional illustrated visual art, typically non-realistic or semi-realistic drawing or painting intended for satire, caricature, or humor, or to the artistic style of such works.
Through characterization, cartoons give us a way to recreate multiple expressive versions which evoke a variety of emotions and expressions and are the most captivating in their essence from early childhood to any stage of life.
WE at BAFA, have designed modules for step process orientation and familiarization with cartooning from basic to complex forms.
SUPERHERORS DRAWING
The most inspiring and idolising form of cartooning relates to Super Heroes art. There are the saviours, protectors and the symbol of hope for any stage of life and represent all affirming emotions in a being. From being human to embodying the supernatural, they symbolise the ultron being of the dreams and the destroyer of evil.
The fictional characters always have a huge role in our lives.Every superhero leaves us behind a message that somewhere stays with us always.
At BAFA, we have designed module to make your superhero Cartooning simple, fun and relatable to your own imagination.
ANIMATION SKETCHING
The most common form of art used in modern day is Acrylic painting. It is different from watercolor and oil painting in a way that it offers its own unique set of characteristics to an artist out of which the most appealing factor of this form of art is the brightness of colours.
BAFA’s expertise in Acrylics will not only help an artist to learn the intricacies of shades, but also gain extensive knowledge on brush strokes and lines, that have to be pretty sharp, in order for attaining perfection in this form of art.
STIPPLING ART
It is one of the most elite technical drawings in the field of art due to the immense attention to detail that artists are able to achieve simply by bringing together fragments of shades.The Most fascinating thing about art is that every centimeter of the image is precise, crisp, and a near-perfect reproduction of the natural world. This art form was invented to bring out a loophole in our human minds who does not necessarily see something exactly as it appears in actuality in order to understand it. Our mind is programmed to fill the gaps in order to recognize the shape based on our familiarity with it. COFFEE PAINTING
Did you know that what serves as the ultimate refreshment to most of the world every morning could also be used in making some of the most incredible forms of art? Yes, we are talking about coffee as a painting agent instead of the traditional acrylics and other materials that we originally bring into use. Coffee art is one of the most incredible art forms to make specific and intricate textures, shadows, gradients and at the same time show an unbelievable depth of field. Candidates undertaking this course at BAFA will be exposed to understanding how coffee can be used to give a classic aesthetic look to their artwork coupled with the shine and uniqueness of textures which cannot be achieved by any other art form.
ALCOHOL INK PAINTING
Alcohol Ink Art can be described as an art form which depicts the fluidity of color in a patterned or non-patterned manner.BAFA’s expertise in this form goes beyond traditional art as this is something that has to be performed with the use of glass, ink and alcohol, which lights up into a fire and ends up creating beautiful designs. It is a blissful experience to perform this art. If you ever want to transform a normal painting into something that is surreal and looks alive as if it is real, this art form is for you. Using alcohol inks can be a fun way to use colors and create backgrounds for stamping or card making. The outcome of alcohol ink art is freehand, beautiful and mesmerizing to the eye.
FLUID PAINTING
Fluid art is a form of art which uses thin paints to create unique psychedelic paintings by pouring or sprinkling dynamic colors in a freestyle manner.
This art form is totally based on your capacity for creativity and imagination. Paint in this form of art is applied to a canvas by pouring, dripping, swirling, glazing, dipping and many other effects. At BAFA, we encourage you to use your creativity to its maximum level, especially in this form of art as this is one art form that is available and fun for all age groups. FEATHER PAINTING
A bird’s feathers is one of the most brightly colored items you would find in nature. It’s unique texture and complex nature is something that cannot be comprehended by our naked eyes.
Feathers have been used as a perfect canvas for artists throughout the centuries.
